Carlos Tirado is not only a great artist, recognized worldwide, but also generously transmits his knowledge with an easy, entertaining and effective method in his classes. It has been a privilege to be part of his group of students for the past 7 years.

I took classes with Carlos for a few years when I was in middle/high school. While my sister, who was with me in the art classes, had much more natural talent, Carlos was great about helping me develop my artistic abilities. I didn't have a lot of confidence in my abilities, but he guided me through the process while managing to keep classes fun and engaging. I created nice artwork that I wouldn't have had the motivation or knowledge to create on my own, and I would definitely recommend Carlos' art classes to any child, adolescent or adult looking to learn the basics or improve on more advanced skills.

Both of my daughters took art classes with Carlos when they were growing up. My youngest, Jennifer, was his student for many, many years, and I saw how she developed her craft and passion with Carlos as her teacher. She even helped to teach art classes during the summer and created many beautiful pieces of art over the years, always improving as time passed. After being in art classes with Carlos through elementary and middle school, She attended New World School of the Arts High School. After that, she applied to many art colleges, all of which accepted her! She built her portfolio at school and with Carlos' help as well. She graduated from Art Center in Pasadena last year and continues to hone her craft. We'll always be thankful to Carlos for being a great teacher for so many years!

Carlos Tirado has been my daughter Natalie's art teacher for over 16 years. Natalie started at age 4 with Carlos. At the time, she learned to draw in group classes after school. Natalie was a restless little girl who used to be very easily distracted. Carlos has a very special gift, bringing out the best in each student... in my daughter's case, he taught her how to capture her ideas and creativity on a piece of paper or on a canvas. She grew up in age and with that she evolved with a brush in her hand, thus time went on and her "art teacher" guided her through most of her life with much patience. Over time, Natalie became an artist, today she continues to create, she learned to draw with pencil, color and carbon pencils, and paint with watercolors, oil and acrylic paintin, she also sculpts in ceramic.... all this thanks to Carlos who was her mentor and guided her through all these years. Natalie now lives in Boston where she studies but every time she returns to Miami, she resumes her classes and helps teach the little ones, she shares what one day Carlos taught her. Thank you Carlos for all the support we've received during the course of these years, for sharing your knowledge, for your dedication with Natalie and teaching her how to put her imagination and creativity on a canvas.
