Meet the Team
Meet the professionals who make possible the artistic development of our students
Carlos J Tirado
Director
The central theme present throughout my line of work flows from the organic forms of nature and its constant evolution. The natural evolution of life itself. I identify myself with those who perceive art as the expression of an individual in a specific and unique moment of one’s life.
I would describe my style as “abstract expressionism” moving sometimes into “figurative abstractionism” with an intense and colorful palette, including contrast and textures that invite the spectator to reflect about its form and meaning.

Teaching makes me happy. Seeing a child's face when learning something is an invaluable reward. The expression of joy, of knowing that they can, is a wonder, a charm. When you make the children to understood and assimilate what they learned, satisfaction grows and becomes something marvelous. These achievements force you to continue learning to teach in a better way the knowledge that will become a light to illuminate their path and help them to be a better person. Art makes it possible! Moreover, with painting you are helping the cognitive development in all its facets: concentration, expression of your feelings, fine motor skills, imagination, coordination, perspective, with which you are contributing to make them better people to successfully face the world that is waiting them.

Carlos Tirado’s Art classes have helped me perfect my techniques as a teacher to be able to guide passionate kids with more tools and knowledge. Helping them express their likes and interests through art professionally brings me joy, though patience is always needed, it’s all worth it in the end.

I love helping kids express themselves through art and guiding them in their creative process. Seeing students enhance their talent and gain confidence is wonderful. It’s amazing to be a part of their journey and see their development over time.

Being able to work alongside these kids, helping them expand their knowledge and skill in art, and seeing how much they improve each class is something that I truly enjoy. I have personally taken the classes for years and it is remarkable how much they helped me improve artistically, and I'm glad I can share this experience with these students.

I think that since we are very young, we always have an inclination and skill toward certain things. For me, it has always been art - anything related to it. Art has taught me patience and the value of small victories. Some students start off hesitant or unsure of their abilities, but with each class, I witness their progress—not just in skill, but in self-assurance. Teaching at Carlos Tirado's Art Classes has been an incredible journey, one that constantly reminds me of the boundless potential within each young artist. For me, teaching isn't just about guiding them technically; it's about offering them a space where they can be completely authentic.
